Slicer
The slicer (slicing software) allows your 3D models to be understood by your 3D printer. Once you have modeled the object you want to print, you obtain it in the form of an STL file. The 3D slicer converts the model into a series of thin layers and generates a G-code file containing all the instructions for the 3D printer in use.
We offer you the 5 most commonly used slicers.

If you are using different software, please note that the settings required for the Wanhao Duplicator 12 can be adapted from printers with equivalent volume.
The slicer profiles provided below are basic profiles. They are here to assist you in getting to know your printer. Developed and tested on a Duplicator 12-300 with Wanhao filament.
Caution: Depending on the type of part to be printed and the filament used, the settings will need to be adjusted.
Cura Ultimaker (gratuit)
Cura is a free 3D slicing software (Slicer). It is currently the most widely used and has a very active community. (perfect for beginners)
Our Profiles
To install them?
For CURA 4.13 and earlier:
- On Windows: copy the -content- of the folder (which should have several folders) into "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura\resources".
- On Mac OS: Right-click on the Cura application icon, then select "Show Package Contents" and navigate to the "Contents" folder, then enter the "Resources" sub-folder. Copy the -contents- of the extracted folder (which should have several folders) into this folder. You may be asked to merge some folders, so accept that.
For CURA 5.0 and higher:
- On Windows: Copy the -contents- of the folder (which should have several folders) to "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 5.0.0\share\cura\resources."
- On Mac OS:
- For 5.0.X: Right-click on the ULTIMAKER CURA application icon, then select "Show Package Contents." Navigate to the "Contents" folder, then enter the subfolder "/MacOS/share/cura/resources."
- Unzip the Zip file containing the profiles, go inside that folder. Select all the folders with your mouse, right-click, and click on Copy. Go to the resources folder, right-click, and click on Paste X items. Make sure to click on the option to merge some folders and accept.
- Launch Cura: you will then have in the list of printers, the Wanhao brand with the choice of the Duplicator 12.

Prusa Slicer (gratuit)
Prusa est un logiciel libre de découpe 3D (Slicer). Il est actuellement l'un des plus utilisé et dispose d'une communauté très active. (parfait pour les débutants)
